A small number of universities and institutions have been considered. Additional research institutions will be added gradually.

  • IDRC ECOPOLIS Graduate Research and Design Awards is a program with the goal to promote research and design projects that help lighten the environmental problems borne by the urban poor. Awards will be granted to cover expenses related to Master- or Doctoral-level research and design projects in developing countries. Deadline October 18, 2007.

  • Accessing Patented Knowledge for Innovation
    This is a call for proposals on how developing countries can access technologies and information contained in existing patents to enhance innovative research at the national level. Only institutions from developing countries can apply.

This Portal is open to requests from Latin American research institutions willing to make special announcements about their newsletters, publications, job openings, consultancy demands, interest for exchanges, development of training activities, and requests for obtaining support for exploratory visits to Canada.

Requests will also be included in the Portal's newsletter.

Upon request from research centres, additional topic areas focusing on particular development problems may be included in the Portal.
